And yet if that was Max and Red Bull with the unsafe release you’d be calling for a penalty.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑31 Aug 2024, 16:24Being practise or qualifying shouldn't be an excuse. A rule is a rule. You can't enforce rules depending on team. Max Verstappen in Austria with what he did should have had a 2 race ban back in the 90s and 00s.organic wrote: ↑31 Aug 2024, 16:22This is qualifying, that was free practice. Competitive session makes the penalty for impeding always a lot worseDarth-Piekus wrote: ↑31 Aug 2024, 16:21Hopefully nothing will happen. Last race Max Verstappen acted like a jackass in the FP3 when he passed Lando Norris in an illegal way inside the pits and then he rode the white line passing both Mercedes which is again illegal. He was never noted.
You’re not comparing apples with apples…..Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑31 Aug 2024, 16:30It's not just an example. There are plenty of examples. I don't see why Piastri should get something more than a fine when Leclerc and Stroll used their cars as weapons against other drivers. Piastri and Hamilton got a penalty for impeding drivers even though it was impossible to avoid in both situations yet Sainz got nothing for impeding Lando in Montreal even though he had ways to avoid it. And let's not open Pandora's Box that is Max Verstappen and his behavior which he would have been banned for some races in a previous decade.
I want rules to be enforced equally Scott.
I don't think Ferrari was pushing, but their car is naturally very good on its tires this year. I got "tricked" a bit because they had impeccable consistency and speed on used tires and I just assumed there would be more margin for improvement for them.
