I get the feeling Hamilton is setting the scenery to announce he no longer wants to race. Possibly regretting his decision to move and not looking forward to driving at Ferrari but still feels the need to be involved at Ferrari, so maybe one year driving then "had enough, too old now"

that shows GR slows down more for the final corner, then gains speed faster, to eventually be faster... you sure you are looking at it right?
George went with trail braking into the last corner, whereas Lewis braked late, but one full press of the pedal. While trail braking helped stabilize the car to get a good exit speed for George, by sacrificing entry speed, Lewis's aggressive late braking lost him time. George's highest speed for the last corner before he went braking was 296kph, whereas Lewis's highest speed was 316kph. That's 20kph more that Lewis carried, hence required far more aggressive braking to slow down and stabilize. That's where he lost time.
Im talking about at the start of the flying laps, before GR reaches the start line, He has a ( Small ) tow from Max, around the final corner, and up untill just before the pit exit, although small, he would have gained an advantage.

LH was still poor into turn 1, it was a poor q3 for LH. not disputing that, Just saying that even though LH was poor, he is still just 0.073 behind. a poor lap from LH is just 0.073 slower than GRs had car in sweet spot and did a great lap ( as said by GR )
Compared to the lap before, the tow from Max was negligible.

Albon gave George an almighty tow in the first laps.

Dont know about all that, he's won two races already, 4 podiums. its been said by Shov, Allison and Lewis himself this generation of cars, more specifically the merc, just dont suit his driving style and shov said its something theyre working on giving him, then you have these sensitive tires that pirelli are changing next year. yesterday he said he knows he didnt get all of the performance out of the car on his last run, He's disappointed in himself over this quali because it wasnt just the car, it was him messing up and not getting pole, in the driver's parade interview he said he's not happy until hes at the front, he very much has the drive to continue.

But next year he is at Ferrari. Not winning and lots of politics. Could be leaving a trap door

Yep. Unsurprising really.

Merc didn’t have great pace though today. No man’s land for most of the race

We’re now maybe back to 4th fastest in-race. 3rd might just be Rb. I always monitor what the 2nd in Ferrari SAI does vs HAM & HAM couldn’t make inroads.

I am not enjoying this old, covid-riddled, Abu-dhabi'd, version of Lewis. Ever since he got Covid his one lap pace has lost out a bit and the abu-dhabi saga has put bigger dent in him.

Lewis on hards was gapping Max who was on fresher mediums and Russell was catching him as well

Yup, we weren’t in a direct race with VER in Zvoort but we might’ve been faster there too maybe. Complete disappearing trick with that Rb pace they once had - makes for an interesting championship.

Not sure about the new floor. We’ve not been crazy fast inrace since we bolted it on. Zvoort, LEC did well maintaining gap to HAM, here HAM couldn’t do anything vs SAI even.

Car had decent pace we could attack the bulls and sorta keep up but still 14 seconds behind the leading car at end of race.
