I don't see this going as wrong if they kept 1-2 through the first lap.... The move was so unnecessary. Regardless of the hypothetical 1-2 on who comes first Oscars bold move causing Lando to lose out to Leclerc has cost McLaren a definitive 1-2. The whole thing in Hungary about you are going to need Oscar to win the championship looks pretty BS now....

Who was the idiot who decided it would be a good idea for Piastri to pass Norris at the start instead of using both cars to DRS each other and push. Now they lost the victory. They screwed an easy 1-2.

Then why was Norris forced to give a 7 seconds lead to Hungary when he got 1st fair and square?

Pitting Piastri made no sense. He was protecting against Norris. Why not just keep him out and if his pace falls against Leclerc then pit him?

I wasn't buying that the strategy team sucks but now I am fully on board. Whatever your projection tells you it does not make sense to pit Piastri with 5 second buffer infront of Leclerc.

Theres an argument to be made sure but doesn't mean they should make an absolute go of it. "Ahh one of our drivers is making a few mistakes let's not try". If 2025 is meant to be the year them this is the perfect year to learn and hone that championship mentality. Orders should have been get through lap 1 in 1-2 then have a race but the prioritise Norris. Because Norris is looking more and more vindicated with his reasoning for not swapping with Piastri in Hungary.

Because he didn't!!!!! Oscar gave up.his right to pit first to help Lando and that is the ONLY reason he got in front at that point.

They need to switch Piastri and Norris at the end. At least make that call right.
