If Newey really comes to AM, even just in next march, i dont know how gardening works but, honestly i refuse to believe Newey doesnt will give " a little help" to the next car in "behind the scenes". Cardille shouldnt start in january 2025? only before summer?

Any team that signs Newey can already challenge for the World Championship in 2025, mark that down.

IF he joins....I fully expect RB to put in some gardening leave clauses. 2025 development is probably already underway so it might be too late to have a championship winning car. Race winning car by the end of next year is more realistic even though still unlikely. This all contingent to the fact that Newey actually joins. I will not be taking anything for granted with this team.

In all probability, there is already some gardening leave in Newey's contract terms. He's terminating a contract early. There was speculation that RB would be willing to waive that in lieu of some compensation. This was all when Newey was rumoured to be going to Ferrari.

I didn't read the whole article, but he is right, Newey won't be enough. They desperately need their wind tunnel and manufacturing plant to be operational.

That's just the first hurdle. They can't keep doing wind tunnel runs only on weekends. And worse, at another factory.

Since McLaren finished their wind tunnel upgrade there has been a noticeable difference in the quality of the upgrades, that work immediately. The savings in time and logistics must be immense, and also means they can use their full WT allowance.

Previously someone had mentioned an Alonso quote from an article which apparently said that Aston would not bring any more parts this year, but I believe that was a wrong translation. The actual Alonso quote from Motorsport.com is this:

"Not good enough in Monza. Not good in Zandvoort, in Spa, in Hungary. So I don't think there's going to be a big change in Baku, Singapore or Austin unless we bring new parts. That's the plan."
