IF he joins....I fully expect RB to put in some gardening leave clauses. 2025 development is probably already underway so it might be too late to have a championship winning car. Race winning car by the end of next year is more realistic even though still unlikely. This all contingent to the fact that Newey actually joins. I will not be taking anything for granted with this team.

In all probability, there is already some gardening leave in Newey's contract terms. He's terminating a contract early. There was speculation that RB would be willing to waive that in lieu of some compensation. This was all when Newey was rumoured to be going to Ferrari.

Duo Stroll Sr. and Newey.. I wonder how patient will Stroll Sr. be if Newey and his hiring doesn't deliver.

He has been surprisingly patient with Fallows and Krack in my opinion.

I don't think this has anything to do with Krack or Fallows. There is a lack of knowledge of ground effects aero that is the problem. It isn't just at AMR either, we're seeing it all around the F1. The only teams getting it right is McLaren, who have a Newey Protege.. Everyone else is having varying degrees of success.

Yes. I believe outside of attending a few races, he was considered on gardening leave. But I believe it was till end of Q1 of 2025. Could be wrong. In all probability, he won't have much input on the 25 car. Almost certainly not for the first half of season. So can't see Newey joining translating to a winning car in 25.

If the unthinkable happens and Max leaves Red bull and doesn't go to Mercedes, a Max-Alonso lineup is not completely impossible I guess...

I would say it's pretty impossible... Higher chances that it ends up Max-Lance than Max-Alonso... Lawrence is doing all of this for his son... Would be surprised if he dumps him... Family dinners would be to awkward then haha

From what Ive read, it is not allowed before September 6 due to a clause in his contract. Technically they could announce from that moment on but there's a press conference scheduled for September 10 so most expect that will be the day of the announcement.

I was thinking, the wind tunnel and the buildings should be almost finished by then (if not already), so imagine if they did it while the new buildings were inaugurated. That would be cool.
