If Austin is the target, it probably can be done in updated WT but only just. If they bring it in Singapore it was in development for a long time. This makes it very unlikely, as they just brought the Monza updates. It would have been too risky to develop a new wing for the new floor which wasn't validated on track. If even a tiny thing went wrong and missed correlation, those development runs would have been wasted.

Seeing how much they are pushing with upgrades this year, Austin looks like the most likely target, even if it's a Sprint weekend. Next weekend is Mexico, a track without long radius corners and very high altitude, making aero validation very risky

Yeah the current driver pairing was just perfect, and Ferrari don't need LH from a marketing POV either, the F1 team is no longer the driving force for road car sales, it's a pointless and extremely costly move both financially and in terms of team dynamics. Plus honestly I think it's a bit embarrassing for Ferrari to sign someone who won all their titles with a different team, you can't brag about those championships, they are Merc/McLaren titles, same with Seb's and RB

Mate, you have to understand what the meaning of a Trojan horse is. Unless you actually think he is going to ferrari with the strict intent of ruining the team…which would be a level of crazy that must come with its own fan fiction. And I would love to read it.

He is going to ferrari because Mercedes didn’t give him what he wanted. And Ferrari want their Ronaldo to Juventus…simples.
Hopefully it ends better than Ronaldo to Juve did

I remember these guys back in May telling how important Newey will be for Ferrari and how much creativity and experience he will bring to Maranello; just a few months later Ferrari need to focus on smart recruitment, build step by step, one man show is not enough, etc. Ok.
