so he didnt stamp to hard on the gas out the first chicane which meant he was slow down to the second, where he braked early, then stamped on the gas too hard again and lost p2 - none of that happened ... ok, got it

Nope, he was 0.5s up on Carlos' medium lap after S2 and ~0.25 on his soft lap.

Lando was more than 5 tenths on sector 2. He would have been first if it wasnt for Gasly.

Lando had a really bad line braking into 15 as well. Should have been 1 to 2 tenths behind Perez at most.
