I was mostly looking at S1 and 2 as S3 can be quite influenced by tow, even from far back. And it seemed to me that Max got quicker and quicker, dipping into the 43s in S2 on the final laps while Piastri was well above the 44 mark… So it indicates they have found something, which is not the first time this year when a team removes upgrades that turned out to be downgrades.. :D

I think that is an unfair analysis because if Red bull set the car up for S1 and S2, then it will favor them in the data but if others wanted to be faster on the straight, this data is disregarded.

Norris didn't sandbag, but aborted his lap after running into Gasly, which obviously explains the difference to Piastri.He never did a S3 on softs.

We noticed some graining on the tyres over a long run, but not to a particularly high degree and we believe that, as the track rubbers in, its incidence will decrease. In terms of strategy, this is usually a race run in two parts, featuring the Medium and the Hard tyres, while the Soft is clearly a qualifying tyre. Therefore, that explains why eight of the ten teams kept both their sets of Hards, not so much because they are considering a two-stop, but to cover any eventual neutralisation and thus make the most of the tyre that’s the most competitive over a long distance.

So far, Norris not happy, Wolff not happy, Hamilton seems positive, Red Bull and Ferrari both seem positive. Another very close Q session seems very likely

According to the AMuS FP2 analysis (quoting Marko), Red Bull used two different kind of floors today. The one Perez had resulted in a more predictable car behaviour.
