It's a challenging phase of the season, that's for sure. But I think there's a lot of interesting things that are happening in the factory right now, we understand our issues, we understand where we have to improve the car, that's where the team is working flat out in our campus, you know, so you just have to be a bit more patient. Baku will be tough again for sure, but we haven't given up on 2024, there are updates coming, they will be delivered at the track when they're ready, we cannot put a date in place but be a bit more patient - that's the thing I would ask the people, we are working flat out and we know what we should do now.
In the meantime a small change arrived.

Guess they found the floor edge was being sucked down in the back. This way the car back as a whole, including the diffuser, gets pulled down.

Even with Max in the team, Fernando will do everything to win the 3rd world championship, he is a phenomenon, a champion as well as the 2nd best driver in history behind Ayrton Senna

I don't think that Alonso winning a 3ird title makes him any more of a legend than he already is.

No, not in the eyes of true motorsport fans.

But it just solidifies what we all know i.e he never left.

Looks like a Dirty quick fix for porpoising until a real solution arrives. Why just now is my question…

Agree but for a legend it will be great way to signoff. With alonso its simple give him car that has decent chance of winning. Rest dsnt matter, who is against, who is teammate, which track..

Hows long run looking? One lap pace is useless on this track.

But Alonso did one good lap in the middle of it! ;)

no one but the Red Bulls and Sainz did a lap this fast that late in the run... but yeah, no idea what to make of that.

Looks like his delta laptime was 1:51.5 for 4 laps did a 1:50.7, then pushed hard to do a 1:49.2, then back to delta, then must have traffic for the rest after he did 1:51.0 on his 9th lap because after that he was 2 -3 seconds a lap slower. So maybe the pace isnt that bad.

So the delta laptime is over 2 seconds slower than when the car is pushing. Do they really drive 2 seconds slower in F1 to make the tires last a stint?

We are the ninth or the last team this race. Amazing job from AM, they finally made that. Incredible.

Apparently Fernando was not happy with the afternoon setup, so lets see if they improve it for tomorrow
