Lucky Lando!
Why? Gained nothing from that incident to Max.

Clearly sainzs fault, he drifted towards the middle whereas perez was keeping a straight line, but he wanted to get that slipstream at all costs.
Sainz caused it. But I blame Perez, he saw Sainz coming across slowly, but just did not move at all.

I’m looking forward to both camps assigning 100% blame for what was certaintly both their fault until the next race, and running up their post counts / threads.

That was a as close as a “it takes two to tango” crash as I’ve seen in a while.

That was such a weird finale of a great race.
As far as RB had any aspirations for the constructors still, Perez did not do them a good service with this. And equally he did not help Ferrari, which still have a shot at the WCC.
This weekend helped Max somewhat for WDC through (minimal) damage limitation, but it certainly helped McLaren more for the WCC than they would have expected.

Exactly. And add to that how Perez completely fumbled his overtake on Leclerc he only has himself to blame.

That was Perez's fault. Never put your car on the outside in such a fight. And he also held a hard line on Carlos while being behind. He's crazy!

So luck evens out in the Lewis Vs George battle.
I’m ready for him to retire. Incessant whining, super inconsistent, and races dirty.

I think Carlos had some fault in that, but that was definitely “it takes two”.
Nah. Didn't see Carlos doing anything wrong but staying on the road in a street circuit. sergio put on the pinch when he was behind, which is riduclous.
Straight runs west, they are driving straight into the setting sun. Would blame impaired vision before a conscious mistake.

charles lost the race by defending poorly he just opened the door and and that let piastri through.at one point ferrari has 8 secound gap its difficult to understand how the lost that.their drivers a not complete they have weakness that other exploit.

compared to yesterday, Marko has upped his expectations, and just said that he expects Red Bull to fight for the win.
Well, he was relatively close. Perez was close to the lead but never got close enough.

What was it the guy said on commentary, "Beautiful to watch"...

Well, a McLaren and a Ferrari both power sliding onto a kerb while rounding a corner was sublime entertainment! You could see how much they were both giving it full beans, great stuff...

We need a gif of it :)

It is interesting to see how experienced guys (like you I guess) completely forgot the rules in this moments...
Sainz had not to keep any straight line: he could choose his preferred racing line since the 2 cars were not engaged at all.
Nevertheless sainz drifted very very little towards left starting from near the right wall and perez had plenty of room to do anything he wanted to avoid contact. he was entirely his responsibility to avoid contact which he failed completely. (as stewards are recognizing steadily I guess).

Disappointing race for a Ferrari fan, things looked so good in the first stint.

In some situations you don't need to wait for everyone to pit even if you can cover.
And Charles underestimated Piastri and put no defense.
Great job Piastri, did everything right.
Worst Max Verstappen i've ever seen, and Sérgio was right there in the fight for the lead, can only blame himself and his setup choices.

Phenomenal work for Colapinto, Vowles must feel vindicated (another contender for the Audi seat?)

I think the crash falls more on Carlos but didn't take many looks at it.

All drivers have weaknesses...

Not even the GOATs like Hamilton and Verstappen are perfect, clearly.

Leclerc admitted his mistake, but Ferrari will need to have a debrief tonight on what went wrong for both drivers. Just a catastrophic race.

Thats your take on the situation, mine is different. Perez could avoid it, but chose to hold his ground. But avoidance was only neceserary because sainz was driving into him, thus being an instigator of the incident.
