yeah, I think without Norris blocking him, he may have had a shot at attacking Leclerc after his pit stop - but he's not exactly known for doing passes like Piastri did. I saw the investigation but missed the replay. Was it crossing over the pit entry line? It showed he was boxing and all of a sudden he wasn’t. So only assumed he drove himself over the line back out onto the track
VSC infringement, along with Hulkenberg, Ocon & Gasly. i havent seen anyone credible report it yet though and nothing from the FIA bot as yet
Sainz is in a sense the instigator but in all racing categories has absolutely zero fault by the letter of the law. Where they were relative to one another and to the edges of the track he did nothing wrong by the rules. Sainz had not to keep any straight line: he could choose his preferred racing line since the 2 cars were not engaged at all.
Nevertheless sainz drifted very very little towards left starting from near the right wall and perez had plenty of room to do anything he wanted to avoid contact. he was entirely his responsibility to avoid contact which he failed completely. (as stewards are recognizing steadily I guess).

He started overtaking people under the VSC! He probably thought the race was over…
So what? After looking at replays a few more times its clear he's even moving to the left slowly, but sainz just straight drives into him trying to get behind leclerc. Why should perez jump out of his way? You have to give a car's width and there was more than enough space for sainz on the track, that is unless he drives recklessly and crashed into a car next to him for being too greedy.
