If Verstappen gets anything less than a DSQ for this then the FIA is clearly rigged…

The rules are pretty clear on such infringements!
I may have missed it. What are you referring to?
He started overtaking people under the VSC! He probably thought the race was over…

He was even waving at Norris
the race was over at that point, as far as I can see. It happened after the chequered flag, but I guess you aren't allowed to do so with the medical car etc. still out on track

Perez had all the space in the world on the left side of the track...
So what? After looking at replays a few more times its clear he's even moving to the left slowly, but sainz just straight drives into him trying to get behind leclerc. Why should perez jump out of his way? You have to give a car's width and there was more than enough space for sainz on the track, that is unless he drives recklessly and crashed into a car next to him for being too greedy.
Perez could have done a lot to avoid the collision. But Sainz caused the collision really here, by drifting left. Perhaps Sainz misjudged how much overlap perez had

Overall I think it's about 50/50 blame. You can't just drive into the space occupied by Perez, but Perez could've followed the line that Sainz dictated rather than just stayed where he was.

Bit of bias there imho. The tec pro comes towards the track. SAI has virtually no steering input. But it appears he’s drifting left due to that tec pro. Bit of a silly one that. I can’t really see anything obviously wrong with what either driver did.
Holes in a cheese 🧀 they lined up perfectly. Low sun to drive straight into. Adrenaline up. Right front to rear right perfectly aligned and a visual change in that low sun

ok yes, tecpro is coming up, this is only better seen from leclerc's cam looking back. so its more like 50-50 misunderstanding

They will rule as racing incident most likely.

Carlos has the right to move pefr as he is the lead car and not in any braking zone, but Perez was also in the space....

Perez the attacking car, has not right to fight for space coming out of the corner but he also has no obligation to move. So yeah as u said very avoidable.

And avoidable at different stages of time.

Perez's weak attack on Charles.
Carlos trying to get a head of Charles at turn two on the outside resulting in Perez sneaking back inside.
Then the two crashing right after.

Agreed mate!

What a fun race. Glad safety cars didn’t influence the race. Had more than enough as it was

What a race, what a 2nd half of the F1 season..... just thinking back to pre-season and the first 3 races or so.... when we all expected that Max will win all races this year... wow....

Great race, and excellent driving by Piastri and Leclerc.

Great job too by both rookies getting points. Starting to highlight that some of the older drivers need to move along now, ahem , Perez for one.

I think that incident has surely cost his job after Mexico.

And there it is, Max, Gasly, Hulkenberg and Ocon summoned to the stewards for overtaking under VSC

That's a weird rule to have. Unless everyone drives specifically to the normal delta, it's pretty difficult not to overtake on the cool down lap. F1 is so tedious compared to MotoGP with these kinds of rules

I was just on the point of posting that it was nice there seems to be few let-me-by-or-crash moves this year, then POW

It'll be the worlds dumbest penalty if it does turn out to be.

But as Max said, there will be countless examples of it.
