Lando Norris put in a nearly perfect weekend and led the Singaporean Grand Prix from start to finish following a strong start from pole. Max Verstappen finished second but was never really in contention for victory as Piastri completed the party for McLaren.
It wasn't even so much about degredation, by the look of it. As far as I could see, the Racing Bulls were running most downforce of all teams, which can work out fine in quali with 4xDRS, but in the longrun they were losing massive ground on every straight. Imo too much to stay ahead, even on a track like this.
How is that possible? I thought Singapore was Max downforce. Isn't it possible that Racing Bulls just turned down the PU in the race sims? Honda's reliability this year has been questionable. They probably need to be cautious.
That causative network of evidence is too complex to unravel here. It would be too many petabytes for the servers. Let's just say it's a well seasoned lunch for now.
Predicting Mclaren will be 'nowhere' at any track would already be bizarre, but to say that at a street track where they've been strong all year, and where they were actually surprisingly strong even last year?
Again another claim that seems to have no reasonable logic behind it. :/
It told you it was a well seasoned lunch! Who said anything about well reasoned?
Ferrari should be ultra strong here. But.. Expecting Aston and Mercedes to get in the mix. McLaren will be nowhere. One williams in Q3.
Why do you think McLaren will be nowhere?

So far, the evidence from Friday supports this argument.
Bradley lord (mercedes) say, that in FP1 track development is usual around half a tenth every minute. Just for information, because this number actually surprised me.

as far as I understood, McLaren had the Zandvoort configuration on one car and the Monaco one on the other yesterday as well, so there seems to be room for some differences now in regards to downforce level.
But I honestly don't know much about all those wings, gurney flaps etc, so someone else may be able to provide a better answer.
What a --- show, it took several laps of avoiding the huge lizard to red flag it? Why red flag it, can't a marshall go there and pick it up? Amateur hour, lol.
It seems that in FP3 top teams were trying to feel how the car is behaving between a 1-stop and a 2-stop race setup coz there is, as Toto said on Sky interview after the session, a weird situation between the team drivers ...
I agree with that statement coz there is a pattern that is drawing in looking after the fastest times that they were setting:
NOR to PIA there is a +.785 sec gap
RUS to HAM : +.730 sec
VER to PER : +.800 sec
ALO to STR: +.637 sec
In addition to that gap, the first hot lap was the fastest for all faster drivers, meaning they could warm up the tyres sooner and got them into their optimum working window hence they were simulating a 2-stop race setup, coz here the wear is higher than usual.
In contrast, all of the other teams did similar lap times and were opting for the presumably ideal 1-stop race setup, at least for the Ferrari drivers bearing in mind the gap to NOR was a whooping .+913 sec on the same tyre and strugueling to get them into their window ...
Now looking back to last year's race when 2-stops seemed to be the better strategy here and bearing in mind that there is another DRS zone but mostly there is a high chance of an SC/VSC phase it didn`t seem to be a far-fetched scenario after all, don`t you think guys?
No one has two mediums or hards. How can they be evaluating a two stop race?
All those gaps are easily explained. Piastri is still inexperienced and still has races where Norris dominates him (at least in practices).
Alonso and Stroll do not need an explanation, same with Perez and Verstappen. And Hamilton with Russel happened many times this year, so not a big surprise.
