What's going on with Sainz, that looked like such a rookie mistake

Grid penalty incoming for Max?
I do not understand why, was he not in front of Carlos finishing his lap, so why the issue

Colapinto is incredibly impressive man. A month ago he wasn't really on the radar for any F1 team. He was considered a driver that was almost good enough for F1, but not worth giving a chance with drivers like Bortoleto and Antonelli in F2. Then he gets a chance out of nowhere and is absolutely on it.
Or Williams have really fast car now and Albon is another average driver. We'll se next season when Sainz join them.
Even if Albon is just average. Colapinto jumped in a car with no practice that his teammate had done 15 races and pre-season testing in, a neck that isn't prepared for F1, and was immediately matching an average driver. Even if Albon is just average, Colapinto has made it clear that he is more than good enough for a full-time F1 drive.

He was behind Carlos and didn't slow under double yellows.

Never mind he did lift, but not fully abort.

Anyone else notice there's a bit more flex in the Red Bull front wing?
They haven't changed it on any of the documents
Changing the stiffness of the carbon doesn't need to be noted.
Only exterior surface changes.

I don't think he'll get a penalty.

It would be ridiculous if Max gets a penalty for that. Clearly backed off as soon as there was a light shown.

He won’t. He lifted, as Sky just showed. Move on.

You're both correct. I just assumed you'd have to change more than just construction if you were to design a flexi wing from scratch
It would certainly make sense to change the design, but maybe they wanted to keep low profile and don't raise attention. Or it is just a quick fix for them to gain some on track experience before final version comes for Austin.

on a different note: Why did Max lap time was deleted? They wrote track limits, but he was clearly not over. Also he lifted and crossed the line before red flag, so really he did everything.

Race control says double yellows at t18 whilst max was on lap so automatic laptime deleted

He probably tried to let cars through, waited too long and too slow and the rears cooled off more than he expected.

What happened to Ferrari after FP2. So weird.

Car looked so nice and planted in FP2 and then they get a 9-10 in Quali.
