McLaren's Lando Norris did what was expected and took pole position for the Singaporean Grand Prix, a track which is notorious for its difficulty to overtake on. Max Verstappen was second fastest as the Mercedes duo will start the race from the second row on the grid.
Turn one is going to be absolute carnage with the first and second rows comprised of cars startng next to each other whos only goal is to be ahead of the other on the exit of T1
Praying for some lap 1 carnage tomorrow so the Ferraris can get back to the front and make strategy really difficult.
Its definitely coming!
Maybe some rain overnight for a repeat of 2017 (or was it 2018).
It was 2017 and there was rain sometime an hr or 2 before the race started. I doubt we can expect Lewis or George to do something similar from 2nd row to cause that sort of carnage. Itโs going to be an unforeseen event if Landa and Max take each other out tomorrow but there is an outside chance. I will put Oscar as a dark horse to win this from P5 just like what Seb did in 2019. Tomorrowโs race is not going to be a replica for last year for sure if Max takes lead in lap 1. Strategy will be key because there will be innumerable virtual or safety car and looks like everyone has a point to prove in Singapore. Having said that this track is extremely lucky from Lewis so canโt count him out either.
