From today's press release I understood that T-mobile will be only for US races (COTA and Las Vegas for 2024) and also Miami starting 2025. So nothing new for McLaren approach since Zak arrived. We have some "local" sponsors almost every year (7-Eleven for Holland this year or Asia in the past, Shilla Duty Free for Singapore, Sobeyr or Workday for Canada, QTR for Australia, Cisco on sidepods, DP World for RW and Oxxo for FW in China
A lot of those that you mentioned are BAT using their space to promote their partners when nicotine product advertising is banned.
Not really from what I know: 7-Eleven is a supermarket/retailer, DP World is a Dubai based port logistic, Cisco is comm corporate, Shilla DutyFree is a company linked with Samsung operating duty free shops in Singapore aiport, Workday is a HR platform etc. So BAT area on the car is less evident vs last years. Also our main sponsor are this season Google (with chrome and android) and OKX. BAT has the velo/vuse space and where tobacco advertising is banned, probably McLaren has the freedom to replace it with other sponsors.
Anyway, in comparison with 2017, 2018, when our car was almost empty, now we can not complain about lack of sponsorship. Zak did his magic
