The "old" sidepods are pre Hungary, the winglet introduced there is missing.

The water slide is buried now.

He writes about a new floor and a new front wing. We will see.

Didn't mention the sidepods, although pics are obviously available.

Maybe they test the updates against each other not only in FP1, but also in the sprint sessions. To have more data to compare. The driver who has to drive the current car in the only FP session is on the backfoot anyway (unless it's a downgrade again  ).

I drew a red line on the right of the sidepod to show a ridge and that the section to left of that ridge is lower.
They've also kept that flair out that used to be at the front to the very back near where the red line ends and that purple dip starts. It's much less pronounced though.

Someone said i dont remeber when, but i think was a Ferrari's team member the "shark" or the Redbull style for sidepod isnt the best solution to these cars, so, the new Aston's sidepoid looks more simliar to the Mclaren's style, i think. Im praying to this upgrade will be correlact 100% with the wind tunnel

Wont really be able to tell if this update works because Alonso will miss the only practice session of the weekend. He could struggle this weekend

No need to pray since our new tunnel isn’t ready yet. Will be online start of January :). (I know what you mean tho)

does anyone know what they mean by "local load" ? I mean the sidepods and the diffuser do have an influence in the air flow guided into the rear end of the car so I do not know why is it called local load.

do you think those upgrade are only for the Austin GP ?

Thanks in advance !

Haas was already very close in Singapore (if not slightly ahead) and they've brought an important amount of upgrades to Austin. Williams brought no news instead. Best of the rest battle could be with Haas
