NOR's best time has the following sector splits:DoctorRadio wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 09:05Back to qualifying, the last lap of Sainz was going to be special.
The sectors of the top 4 (double yellow in S3 for the incident of Russell):
NOR 25.051 37.058
VER 24.820 37.073
SAI 24.971 36.984
LEC 25.095 37.091
They all pushed until T16, so two minisectors of S3 are available: NOR, VER and LEC were green and yellow, SAI purple and green.
I think it would have required a mistake of SAI in the last corners not to take pole and it would have been very close with VER.
LEC was on course for a 32.5, maybe.
So the work they did on the upgrades is absolutely incredible.
Correct, I forgot to add his best so it would have been close with NOR and VER; the fact that Ferrari was going for pole shows the important improvements they had with the upgrades.dialtone wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 09:12NOR's best time has the following sector splits:DoctorRadio wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 09:05Back to qualifying, the last lap of Sainz was going to be special.

If Sainz does a two-stopper and Leclerc a one-stopper they'll be out of sequence with each other anyway.Sphere3758 wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024, 13:28I just hope Charles gets past Carlos at the start to make our race with Redbull and McLaren more interesting.
We do have good race pace, but I just don’t see Carlos having the edge in race pace over a full race distance, especially when it comes to pulling off a 1 vs 2 stop.
This is not me being harsh on him, he has just never shown that he can do it before. But we just cannot afford to waste any time with intra team battles
P2 and P4 sides on the grid are very good to start from, Norris got +2 from P4 yesterday
Especially if VER sends it into turn 1 and runs Lando wide. The only concern is Carlos going wide at T1 and trying to cut back on the front two, leaving Charles no where to go.
No no, Lewis is going to be the ultimate #2. There’s no way he’d try to pass his teammate if he ever thought he had a pace advantage.
