To be honest we should be strong everywhere now. Crazy to think. Quali is our only issue.
Don’t forget about tarmac temperature! There is one very cold race incoming..

That's true.

However, Las Vegas uses the softest compounds so that shouldn't be as much of an issue.

Loved this comment from Sainz:

Tire management is a strength; we are able to do long stints. Last year, we spent the whole race defending, but this year, we can attack much more. We spend the races looking ahead and overtaking others, which is a lot more fun.
It's more fun for me too! (As long as it's not each other...)

I'll try not to get too excited, but since they did so well here I want to believe a 1-2 in Mexico is possible as well. They have the car, they have the team, they have the drivers...

A great race from the 2 Ferraris car is working well.

OK, I've been away for a bit, but how has this car come alive? When did it start showing this pace?

It seems like we finally might be good to win that abu dhabi race

It has been good since Spa, genuinely arguably the best since Monza.

Thanks, any particular reason why it hasn't been winning (a lot) since that update?

Fantastic result. I mentioned yesterday how not getting stuck in traffic would be important and it really does help - that said, the pace was so good that I think, barring disaster at the start, we would have won regardless.

Given how fast we were here, you'd think we'll do fairly well almost everywhere now. It's really just about maximising (easier said than done) and the WCC is still possible.

Because MCL had a mini DRS in their rear wing that allowed them to win in Baku, otherwise Ferrari would have gotten that one as well.

What we need to hope for now is that we can start next year with a competitive edge. Not behind the 8 ball needing upgrades to get us back in the mix. Really confident that if we can find a bit better quali pace then it’s good to go.

Well, Leclerc has won 2/4 recent races so it depends on your definition of a lot.

In Baku this was a factor: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/did- ... /10654884/

In Singapore they had a horrible qualifying and then both drivers had a fantastic race, unfortunately not fantastic enough for a podium but it was a solid recovery.

Fun fact: Leclerc has been on the podium more than any other driver since Hungary! :o

Charles is a lot closer to Lando in the WDC than Lando is to Max. Not that I care about 2nd place in either championship too much (2nd or 3rd is pretty much the same), but just puts into perspective the idea of Lando going for the WDC - he may not even get 2nd tbh.

Should have been 3/4 and arguably could have been all 4 (or at least fought for the 4th) if things had gone differently.

I'm not sure about Singapore. I count that as a team failure, they didn't understand the car for qualifying then both drivers made errors.

Baku is a different story, but I have faith that Ferrari will recover even more in the next races and Baku will be just a distant memory =D> This won't be the last Leclerc win this season and maybe even Sainz can get another.
