Weirdly enough, I ran the cfd with the regular MVRC template instead the MVRC short template with identical geometries and everything seems to work just fine............

That'll be because of the finer mesh on regular MVRC, but possibly suggests your STLs (specifically those not in the high res folder) are too thin for too long in a few places and break down during meshing on MVRC short

In the results on the website myself and CAE are mixed up.
...
By my tally I should be on 55 points and CAE 48 points, not 52 and 51 respectively.
Yepp, CAEdevice has also informed me about this and I forgot about it. I will check it when working on the results for this race.

Very much possible, yes, so check you geometry for holes.

Hi guys,
last weekend, I sent out the invite for this weekend. I noticed that I never received it and the open rate of the email was unusually low. Are there subscribers that did not receive it?
Because of the potential issues, I sent out the final one today, so no worries, it is not Saturday yet, it is a day earlier than usual.
If anyone does not receive the invite, please post on the forum.

Hi

@LVDH, no issue with the emails on my side

official press release : Titane GP would like to request the extra 48h to submit their cars :)

I will not achieve CAEdevice performance but I'll try at least to mimic his communication.

We are making good progress, but still lacking some cooling, and I'll be out for this weekend so I'd like to "finish" this car in a little bit serene timing if you don't mind. @Andre, I've submitted a text file, I hope it's ok !

I do have another question regarding legality do we agree that the AIS (Air intake system) in the mandatory parts accounts for the plenum mentionned in the technical rules ? so that the 100mm extrusion behind the engine air inlet system is ok to intersect the mandated AIS part.

many thanks

Alex

I have a lot more to write about this later, but only have time to get the images up right now.

This season has been a pleasure and while I've been a step behind the front runners all year I've been pretty happy with my performance.

For the final round I've only really changed the sidepods significantly, the rear wing is a combination of Silverstone(main) and Monaco (beam).

I've sacrificed rear wing performance and therefore drag to improve beam wing and floor performance for a slight increase in overall load but a decent drag reduction. I've closed off all cooling outlet around the gearbox casing, the bodywork now blending into it below the letterbox style cooling outlet around the exhaust. It's a lot more like we see teams IRL running and something I wanted to explore as I was never that happy with the flow conditions on top of the diffuser with the cooling configuration I had previously. I've also reverted to an undercut inlet with an added vertical slit to increase overall cooling flow, probably a bit too much honestly, but also cleans up some losses off the leading edge of the floor.

Being that it's the end of the season I'll probably add some comparisons that show things in a bit more detail later

That is pretty much what the rules state.

Cool renders, as always. If I remember correctly, you use Blender. If so, you could send me your materials, I could then use them for the official renders.

This is the car lined up by CAEdevice for the last race of MVRC 2024 (Interlagos circuit). No particular innovations in the geometry of the MP011 and performance not fully optimized due to lack of time. A fourth place would be a good result.

Hi, guys ! Here is my entry for the last race. But first of all I would like to thank everyone that makes this challenge possible! Had a lot of fun during the season and looking forward for more!

As for my car, it's not a big revolution. I changed lots of small details that hopefully will improve the flow towards the back of the car and extract more performance from the rear wing and the floor. Have a good race everyone!

Medium-High dowforce configuration for Interlagos, the final race of the Season.
Essentially, the same car that raced in Silverstone and Monza, but with adapted wings.

This is the 140th iteration of the year. The car has reached a decent level of maturity. Airflows usually do what they're supposed to do, but wouldn't mind a stronger vortex here or a tighter wake there. Still, aero-gods willing, I'm aiming for the 1st place.

With some luck, a tall spotted animal is taking it easy in South America...

If I counted correctly, we have 12 teams in the final race of MVRC 2024. This shows, that while there is always room for improvement, the championship is growing.
You guys could start taking some notes on what you would like to see for the future. I have my very own ideas, but welcome every input. So after the season is over, I will ask here in the forum, to see what you would like to have soon or the near future, so please prepare.

Good luck everyone for the last race. I am using my Race 03 entry again, so you all know the numbers. Variante should (finally) win this one, but can anyone else catch up?

It's great to see so many entries in the championship, including a few new ones.

Thank you for your answer, I've got confused as there is a plenum in the "mandated engine" and the AIS looks like air Filter + compressor inlet ducts.

On my side I'm taking advantage of the extra 48h, and running a couple more iteration on the floor + cooling. It's been really fun to design that car, here is our best challenger so far :

Let's say we'll be fighting for points ! :)

After the last race we'll definitely try to developp a bit more that car, as it's really far away from what the front runners are able to do :)

I'll be in the ballpark but a bit too draggy in the end I suspect. I'll have to see how things translate to the official run
