Ferrari is well ahead. Piastri did ok. Norris and Perez lot of deg. Hope Perez still had the old floor as he was almost a second slower in his 2nd long run than the Ferraris.

Car will be decent I would like to think (w/ Max). A podium capable car.

I'm with Cassius on this one, I think Ferrari is well ahead. Mclaren probaby too. Maybe even Russel if he can keep that Mercedes on the track. Wouldn't be shocked to see Verstappen finish P4, 5 or 6 and Perez around 10, 11.

A podium would be nice. 1 stopper most likely so depends on the deg.

Personally, i'll be happy with a less than 10points loss to Norris.

A Red Bull win will be nice, but a Ferrari win will be nicer than a Mclaren one.

Max has had really good results in Mexico over the years, and only ever had the best car once.

Not yet (it is only 9:25 AM in Mexico) but it was a Friday PU so the race PU had to be in the car for today anyway.

I feel that this "best car" thing is a bit misconstrued. I think Mexico's track characteristic and Max's ability to lead into T1 makes it a bit unique.

If he is with top 3 in qualifying, he will get a tow and lead. I believe from thereon it's a different game. Good qualifying can give us a long awaited win even if others have better race cars. Fingers crossed.

They're changing the engine for one already in the pool

Let's see how it goes in FP3, have a feeling we are in for a damage limitation weekend.

They act if this is news. This happens every weekend. After FP2 they change the PU for a fresh/stronger/newer PU from the pool.
