This car (and Mercedes) are a joke. Ferrari is starting to kick ass
Could be worse, could be Red Bull

yea not bad, but they finished 30 secs off the pace and the new spec car doesnt really seem that much faster than the old one.

Did the broken front wing come with the new spec?

Entertaining battle between Ham and Russell. Ham did a wing adjustment in his pit stop and he was flying in the second stint, matching Sainz at times. It's a shame they don't understand this car. I think there is a lot of time they are leaving on the table by failing to optimize it.

Russell could have been a bit further up the road with a wing that didn't break itself, so shame for him.

Youd think so but nah  its a shame Merc couldnt get the balance right, Lewis was complaining about oversteer in the first stint, make a wing adjustment in the pits and then like that person said, was just as fast as Sainz at times in the second stint

Genuinely don’t understand how the upgraded spec requires more wing, that’s completely counterintuitive. Should be getting better performance from the floor requiring less wing, surely. That ain’t a good sign

probably not a good sign, after the race Lewis told Bono they need to look into this floor

Another 40+ s gap in a shortened race behind McLaren and Ferrari. Absolutely shameful, Toto and his posse need to go asap
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I know lewis doesn't have the optimum state of the floor...but surely the old spec car can't be that much faster than the new one...merc have really duffed this up
floor doesnt seem to be working well, dont know if its the upgrade or its because all they could do was repair and not repalce it
Lewis Hamilton: “I’ve got graining on the rears and I feel the floor giving up in certain corners.”
Jesus christ lol i know the floor isn't 100% but yeah this race was weird pace between the cars, factoring GR front wing damage. I don't think the picture is clear on the true pace of the cars with all the issues we've had but that new floor is obviously bang average to finish 44 secs behind regardless.

Great racing by Lewis and George, on the limit but kept it clean. Brazil was absolutely brutal last year so im not sure where we go from here. Worrying times for merc.

“And that’s part of the game, is being able to be adaptive, and we’ve got this new car – I don’t know how it’s going to handle, hopefully she’s great.”

Mercedes allowing George with a broken front wing to ruin the tires and overheat the car of Hamilton in a pointless battle perfectly sums up the totally dysfunctional state of this team in every facet.

Beat Red Bull handily today, and if it wasn't for the front wing damage that gap would have been at least half as Russell was closing on Norris with a gap of 6 seconds after 27 laps.
Why would anyone ignore that, I mean aside from the obvious axe to grind.
