Problem was not racing. His hand gesture later in the race. Not sure what that meant.
Perez was being jerk on track, so Liam flipped him the bird, I don’t see an issue with it.

Robot F1 drivers are boring!
Anyway, they are a team that has tolerated the tantrums of Vettel and Max. So I don't see why Liam's attitude would be of problem, especially if he has speed on his side.
I would think it marks him out as the perfect replacement when Max leaves.... 😝
If I come across as blunt, I apologise, it's my ASD. Sometimes, like an F1 car aqua-planing, it gets out of my control.

I fully understand RB is the junior team to RBR, but allowing the sister team through without putting up any fight is a bit suspect. Fighting too hard, like Lawson did, has the possibility of him being talked to or yelled at by someone like Marko. Not sure where that fine line of racing but not too hard may lie where no one is going to complain.

Bottas, Colapinto or someone else? Who do you think would take the second seat at Stake next season?
Checo maybe?

Good grief, why?? He can barely finish much ahead of them when he's in a top car.

It's finally dawning on the media and RBR that RBR fired the wrong driver...

RBR driver development has been a train wreck since Sainz and Verstappen. And they let go Sainz.

It was the right decision to let him go. Perez deserves to be fired too. F1 should be ground for young drivers to prove themselves, not for has beens.

A strong rumor here in Brazil is that Bortoleto will leave the McLaren Development Program after the Brazilian Grand Prix. and will be free to sign with Sauber/Audi.

They are saying Colapinto has signed to replace Perez at RBR.

It doesn't make sense unless RBR only cares about money.

I just don't see how Colapinto is significantly more impressive than Lawson, or why Hadjar does not warrant an F1 debut in the second team.

Maybe there's not much difference in talent, but Colapinto has ties to Carlos Slim. He is a Perez surrogate for the Slim family. If Carlos Slim wants his brands represented in Formula 1, he does need to consider how to operate without an aging Perez.

How poor is Hulk to be beaten so conveniently by a young driver jumping into the car without a great deal of track experience. That's 2 weekends this year. Just shows how much of a disservice are the old drivers to F1 who are holding precious spots and denying a future for the young drivers waiting in the wings. What a shame.

Agreed. His ability to qualify well in lower midfield cars is notable. But, why teams keep signing him when he has an obvious performance ceiling, I don't know. His GP2 championship was 14 years ago. And, after only three top-5 finishes in 220+ starts, he's been an obstacle to younger drivers since at least 2017, IMO.
