Peter Bayer from RB just said that the track is much worse than expected. There are bumps in every single corner, and on the straight it's so bad that the drivers can barely see.

According to him, everyone will need to increase ride height to avoid dsq.
Sad for a fresh repave :|
yea i'm surprised a repaving has made the track so much worse

What's the point in repaving the whole track if the end result comes out worse than existing tarmac? I remember when they repaved it back in 2014 cars were stupidly fast that year when it was brand new. Now they come up with this...

This will be Mclaren domination until sunday. No chance for Max here, if he takes a podium would be a miracle. The championship in falling away from Red Bull and Max. If Lando wins here and Max is fifth the gap will go do down to 32 points with 3 races to go. Hard to watch this, I dont want another drama 2012 style please...

He choked, but he'll get another bite at the apple tomorrow and will probably get the pole he should have had by 2-3 tenths today.

yeah, sounded like they benefitted a bit from the cooler temperatures, but there should be plenty of margin. I mean, Piastri took pole on used tires, so there's probably another half a second in there.

Seems like the general consensus is that the track is horribly bumpy, Lewis saying the didnt do a good job repaving and that its pretty bad, Piastri joking about his priority is to be able to see down the straight, Max saying the track is bumpy, is costing him lap time and doesnt suit their car

As predicted mclaren dominates this predominantly medium speed corner track. Will be a wash in both sprint and race. Norris can probably win from pitlane.
