Both NOR and PIA had yellow final sectors on their fastest laps, which was each set on their second runs. but Max only had one run and didnt even finish his lap so...
we appear to be faster than Ferrari as both their drivers did 2 runs

Max was 0.150 faster on sector 1 and 0.050 faster on sector 2 than Rusell before he aborted. Norris was 0.278 faster on sector 1 and 0.110 faster on sector 2. Unless Norris made a mistake I believe he would have been faster.

Verstappen would have needed a purple final sector to top the board, yeah. Unlikely, given Bearman was probably on a higher engine mode already.

Looked a good lap from lando on his second run. Others can't seem to get a second lap out of the tires.
He also lifted slightly somewhere on the run to the finish line.

Looks like you said, Lando lifted in the last part of the lap, allowing George to have a better time on that last part.

Wind has picked up. Let's hope for a normal sprint qualifying and if it rains let's hope Mclaren do the right thing this time compared to last year.

Now that statement both drivers have to repeat it two more times and if possible from the first lap in Q2 and Q3 to avoid weather changes like last year. First of all we need Piastri on P2 behind P1 Norris so he can't be more than 5 tenths away. I have a feeling Lando has found a way to step up his game while Oscar became stagnant. I hope he makes me eat my words.

That is acceptable for Oscar. Now on to repeat the 1-2 at the first lap in Q3 to avoid any weather shenanigans.

Really good pace from Lando and Oscar there, wasn't expecting McLaren to be that rapid.

Bravo Oscar. That is the Piastri I would like to see and I am glad he made me eat my words. Congratulations again. 1-2. The car is on a league of it's own and tomorrow let's gather as many points as possible.

Tomorrow let's not overdo it on the start. Focus on the WCC and if the WDC comes even better. Whoever turns first on turn 1 then let him win.

That's what we needed, I don't mind Piastri in front, even if he finishes ahead tomorrow it wont be bad, hopefully Leclerc can provide some form of defense on Verstappen
