I know this is not totally relevant but if Ollie keeps this up, he will absolutely be driving for Ferrari once Lewis retires.

He will be in the Ferrari sooner rather than later. Either when Lewis retires or if Leclerc can't compete with a highly motivated Lewis. But that's for the future.

Expected worse, quite decent, but wish it was 3-4.

Not an awful result considering FP1. Would have been nice with a Sainz P4 as well, but we probably couldn't have done any better with Charles

Leclerc's lap was essentially perfect. In the SF-23 that would've been an easy pole.

A shame but P3 and P5 isn't bad at all. Hopefully if one of the McLarens or Verstappen makes a mistake we can capitalize.

Leclerc caught a bit of a tow in S3 from Max otherwise their sector times were near identical. Luck of the draw.

Agreed though, nothing left in that run.

The layout looks like Austin so far, I think it's going to be good.
Also, Max is starting right behind Lando :D

These sprint qualies are i little bit dull to be honest. But great drive by Charles.

Solid result, the McLaren's looked untouchable over a single lap so a 3-5 is a good outcome, especially considering how much the temperature dropped and how that has proven to be a very unfavorable scenario for the Ferrari in the recent past.

It will be interesting to see how the two (McLaren & Ferrari) compare in race pace which is what really counts, as long as you don't shoot yourself in the foot in qualifying that is!
Thankfully Ferrari seem to have addressed their qualifying woes, they are clearly still a little short but at least they are now capable of placing their cars high up the grid were their solid race pace has a chance to make the difference.

Cmon guys at the Ferrari. Help us please here at Red Bull. Really would like that you will have great race pace tomorrow and win at least 2-3 races until the end. Fingers crossed you will get that WCC.

Luckily Brasil is no so favourable in terms of track position. Wil see. Mclren should this had in pocket but who knows maybe they again hit graining. Sprint should be ok for them maybe. IDK

SQ went as good as it could, the gap is as expected with temperatures dropping as much. Both drivers did a great job. Sprint looks to be safe from rain and it might start pouring right after the medal ceremony. Let's see if Mediums combined with less fuel can give Ferrari some edge early on.

As for incoming wet Q session, we shouldn't expect any miracles, 3-4-5 will be great positions to start from. The race looks set to be wet from start to finish, 90% chance of rain basically. Been thinking about something today, all might not be lost in the wet. Everything depends on tyre warm up, if that goes well early on and this specific scenario I have in mind happens, I will explain it after the race.

Until then, it's great reading a pumped-up Vasseur asking the team to push and attack for Sunday points
