It's a slam dunk penalty for Max to get alongside on VSC. His onboard clearly shows him getting alongside while VSC was flashing.

If Max gets a 5s penalty it'll be absolutely brutal.

Race directors notes give the layout of the cars as reference to Article 55.15. F1 sporting regs is Article 55 for full Safety Car, Article 56 is VSC conditions. VSC makes no reference to how cars must be positioned.

Absolutely no penalty IMHO.

Regs are perfectly clear.

From the looks of it Max can easily win tomorrow!

Neither McLaren nor Ferrari look to have the pace advantage or the tire management to stay ahead…
Max easily won Austin sprint and was nowhere near in the race. I believe it will be similar here because RB is worse on tires since Imola.

If FIA checks the online comments you'd imagine they understand that this kind of interaction is way more damaging to the F1 product than some swearwords or hard racing .. silly and unnecessary.

That VSC felt so weird.

First they call it 1.5 laps after he stops almost on the track, only after McLaren have swapped. Then they decide to end it at the end of the back straight where Verstappen looked to have a very good chance of getting by Piastri. Then they investigate Verstappen for an infringement that might not even be on the books.

I really feel like the stewards/race director are working overtime to try and cook up a title fight here. It's giving shades of Silverstone and Abu Dhabi 2021.

Well, for me as a neutral spectator this is fine. McLaren/Lando can not pull it ...
For me it is fine to have Herbert and Hill as stewards till Abu. =D>

AD21 decision making drove conspiracy theories and so is what people are churning out now. I don't buy either.
