I know many like wet races because well they mix things up, I however have been saying for a long time I can't stand them, yes they mix things up are unpredictable and often deliver surprise results.
While all of that may be so, because of the conditions there's to big a slice of luck that comes into play and that for me is not racing on an equal footing.
Way to often cars/teams get screwed over because of other cars/teams mishaps totally distorting results.

It’s so sad that Leclerc sucks in the rain.

it's not like he completely sucks, but yeah, he's never been one of the best in slippery conditions. and you can't really learn it at this stage, it's a bit too late.

There’s a new start time. It’ll have to be adhered to. Can’t delay a race because 1 team can’t fix a car in time

they can't of course, but they can because of unsafe weather conditions though. It was a joke anyways, but with the FIA...you never know.

Interesting. Wonder what the deadline is for cars to be ‘fixed’ and ready to race before a race start

RB were able to fix Perez's car in SPA '21 so he joined 'race' lap down and 2 hours later.

Well yeah he’s far from awful in the rain. He rarely crashes and usually makes Q3 as often as someone like Max or Lando. He just isn’t anywhere near as quick in the rain as he is in the dry.

Someone with his speed should be incredible in the rain, but he just never seems comfortable. I can’t think of a single exceptional wet performance from him.

I was literally thinking that. What was that race during covid times, with that massive crash at the restart. Equivalent to that.

It seems difficult for the workshops of some pits. Williams and Aston both have damaged cars. Ferrari has to replace the entire rear of Sainz, but no car has been delivered to the mechanics yet.

Mugello 2020. Those crashes didn’t ruin the backs of the cars though. It was mostly floor/bargeboard/suspension/front wing damage.

A lot of these crashes smashed up gearboxes and maybe engines, along with wings, floors and suspension. I think it might be quite a bit more expensive than Mugello 2020.
