race direction managed the conditions perfectly though. It would suck if they red flagged it because of rain, because clearly teams adopted this questionable strategy to stay out even on dead tires, anticipating the call of RD to red flag . They actually have to do something with that.
They gambled, and won, yeah, but I don't think they were extremely lucky, it might have been red flagged due to standing water even if Colapinto didn't crash.

no, I don't think so. they past the worst condition already. and also the forecast was always short period of heavy rain. If race director wanted to red flag it because of the water, he would've done it earlier.
