Great job with "they are the best" when they win and "they are the worst" when they loose. You have no knowledge of what was happening on the track, the cars were obviously set with too much drag and couldnt overtake, red flag sealed the deal. Except from Max and Alpines, everybody else made mistakes during the race.
Next time think trough before you post.
It'll be interesting to see in the telemetry if that is the issue. Given that drag only really becomes a problem at over 250kph I'm not sure how much it held us back. Problem vs Verstappen is that the driver was able to find more grip. His overtakes were because he found the limit in the corners when others went round like Bambi.
Verstsppen was godlike to be honest. But Norris vs. Russell it was no gain trough straights, but massive gains in corners. He said himself he is too slow. On the other hand it could be traction.
Max has had a race in the wet here, about 6 years ago? He was a different class then and is now. Now Hamilton has dropped back he's in a class of his own.

That is true. The team did arrive to a championship position earlier than expected so they might not be ready in terms of championship material team in set ups, strategy, mistakes and hesitation.

But as mwillems said above I am not sure Norris will ever deliver. He's been like that years now.
He reminds me a bit of JP Montoya, a crazy fast driver, but a driver that is not able to delivery that fast pace consistently, weekend over weekend, season long.....

But I believe he can improve, its all about preparation & expectation, Mclaren must provide better support.

The team for start have to provide a car that will be top from the start and not have to wait 6 races for it. Then let's not forget how many times the team screwed Lando Norris with strategy mistakes and team orders. I am not sure though what Norris has to do to become better and more consistent. I leave it up to you to tell me your opinion.

If Lando were to retire (hypothetically speaking), does McLaren have any other good options? Driver market is pretty bad at the moment, there isn't anyone good that is not contractually linked to some other team.

Everything was because of the bad start. Compromised first stint, bad strategy. Our setup was made for frontrunning not in the crowd. Thats it. Team orders was really really funny at the end of the race. It didnt count at all.

Piastri hasn't had a great race, but it's been better than Lando for sure, which is why Oscar gained a place and Lando lost 5, plus any penalty at the end.
Piastri wiped out a RB, that was generally worse than anything Lando did.
It's just how you convert the points and Lando threw away a lot of points in a WDC fight. He's got talent coming out his ears, but he's not able to.deliver consistently high level performances, same thing I've been saying to you since last year.

You said it didn't matter then, but it did, he needed to get on top of it before challenging for a championship. He still hasn't after nearly a full seasons racing

I don't think he ever will.
I think he's improved as a driver this year, I don't think he is at Max V level, and I've always rated Leclerc. I do think this will help him next year, assuming the car starts off with a good car, unlike this year.

I think the car has been better and that has helped remove some errors, but I'm not sure how much the driver improved.

Next year we'll go again. If it is the same story then perhaps it's time to look elsewhere. Certainly if Max came on the Market I'd pay anything.

Its hard to say from the outside what exactly it is, but I think his mental game is not at the champion level, his behavior, his comments, his dips in form, as a professional player myself for a 13 years long carrier, I know that mental game is paramount in every sport, the race or the game its just the execution of it, the exhaust gasses if you will from the engine we call the human body & mind.

Lawson created more problems for Verstappen than Piastri
Lawson waved Max through, and Oscar opened the door.
Even Piastri waved Max through, shocking race today, WDC definitely out of reach now but at least we didn't lose ground to Ferrari this weekend

If we are this competitive next year, this (PIA behavior) will tear the team apart if not handled properly.

Well, as many have said, a race to forget, thou weather has played its part. Its been a great season so far, the team is giving the true Maclaren fans up and downs, a rollercoaster ride with a large number of thrills than we expected. It great that we have so much heart in our fans. It was always the longest of shots and had never been seen before WDC, but they made us believe. Onwards and upwards, no down beats to be had, the WCC we trust. Thanks Mclaren for great season to date and more.

Please stop blaming Lawson, Piastri and other conspiracies. Beyond driver errors, today we did not have pace throughout the race. They will have to come out and explain it.

Let's focus and win the last 3 races to secure the WCC. There isn't gonna be another rain expected in these races.

Likely brushed under the carpet. Given the safety consequences, it deserves more than 10s. Its a basic procedural breach but one that carries a big safety risk.

Could also look why he wasnt noted for a unsafe rejoin - nearly hitting Russell at the restart, and the turn 1 incident. Both werent even noted.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.
