It's always been a Leadership problem.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 14:54The car is still based on Ferrari parts. Ferrari was (relatively) very bad last year, so was Haas. Ferrari is very good this year and so is Haas. I'm sure Gene understands this perfectly. Early car was still result of Steiner's work with Resta last year and Komatsu did good to improve it over the year.AR3-GP wrote: ↑31 Oct 2024, 23:21He outgrew his utility. Steiner didn't take Haas to P4. It was the theft of Ferrari IP that did that . As soon as the FIA closed down all the loopholes, Haas was nowhere and Steiner was more infatuated with the sound of his own voice than the success of the team. Komatsu is dragging the team forward without stolen Ferrari property. It's worth more.
2024 isn't even close to 2018 in terms of results and points They scored 47p in 2017 (20 races) and 93p in 2018 (21 races) without Sprints, this year they are at 46p in 20 races with 4 Sprints. Clearly, even season 2017 was better than this year
Wonder if he had an engine issue from the start in the sprint. Either way, wet pace was not good and 2x VCARB top 5 in quali is a nightmare scenario for them.
Spoke too soon I guess I’m rooting for Haas as well fwiw given Ferrari ties and I’ve always really rated Hulk. I have zero clue who wins on count back but even a 5 point deficit may be hard for them to overcome. How can we get a Haas in front of one of the McLarens?
