I'd take this over 10 separate livery launches / fake car launches to be honest

We'll still get footage of the real car at shakedowns or if teams want to show some images of it.

It says in the article all cars will most likely be showcars. Though I have a hard time believing Ferrari or Mercedes would embarass themselves by showing a show car. Then again, having so many technical people around it would be suicidal to show your real car in person before Bahrain test...

I don't think any top team would still do it

They could just bring final 2024 cars and repaint them with 2025 liveries. Or some kind of hybrid 25 chassis with 24 floor and wings

I think this was the case for both the 2024 and 2023 launch as well? So no change?

Well, not really. The big thing I'm "pointing" at would by hybrid floors, they need to fit with sidepods and bodywork. Wings are almost like lego blocks now, they'll fit in any case. Some teams did present 100% new cars last year though

Ferrari will launch the livery at this event, and have a separate launch event for their 2025 car later, likely similar to the last couple of years with a live event + shakedown at fiorano

Bwoah, that's a tight schedule... Group launch is 18th and Bahrain test day 1 is 26th. I honestly didn't think anyone would try to fit a separate filming day in between, no matter how beneficial it is
