Hamilton is the catalyst for division in a team.
Bingo.

The established tifosi bleed Ferrari, and since Charles bleeds Ferrari red, he is their adopted child. If Lewis thinks he has or will inherit any special dispensation that supersedes their precious Shal, he will be in for a disappointing surprise. Lewis would have a much better time at Ferrari adopting a Barichello pov, but that wouldn’t be a good look for his marketing apparatus.

Who in their right mind would go into Ferrari looking to be the second driver when not contractually obligated to do so? Crazy talk. You drive to win.

LH, driving abilities beyond any doubt throughout career, fabulous to watch with many memorable performances, he's given fans many absolutely brilliant races.
Character IN manipulation when going head to head though  notable against Alonso, Rosberg and Button as team mates, clashes with Massa and Verstappen in opposition. No innocent is he, and provides conclusive evidence as those crashes etc are scrupulous in their absence UNTIL it gets to something of a championship or position contest, then gets dirty.

His, fiend and synthetic ambivalence about being beaten by GR, good illustration of his method in psychological positioning in this situation.

Looks like it's going to get sh*tty against CL over the next two years as he'll not view himself in support role.

Allright, enough going in circles.
What apparently needed to be said about Team Lewis 2025 has been said, and it involves no green colors. It is only adding repetition and it will probably just be unceremoniously deleted in this thread.

You all are failing to mention that Lewis also is leaving as a driver with a great team spirit. He bas no qualms about helping his teammate. George and Kimi on the other hand are the opposite of this!

It will be squable between the two and a huge mess in the constructors next year!

Kimi? As in Kimi Antonelli? He hasn't even raced in F1 yet, how would you even know? #-o Did you come from the future?

And don't say F2. That series is not at all representative of how drivers act in F1, as there's no WCC pressure.

I am going to hold a popcorn bucket to see that huge mess, at Ferrari next year.

It takes two to tango and so far, George has proved, he isn't one for tangos, on track or off track.

That person makes all kinds of hot takes that seem entirely inexplicable.
It's very sad how Hamilton fans have turned on Antonelli already - who is a huge Hamilton fan himself and has always praised and looked up to him...

Russell and Antonelli will be fine, as will Hamilton and Leclerc. Thank goodness F1 drivers don't have the same rude mentalities as their fans.

Does this mean that Hamilton's car will be heavier?

I was just thinking about the W15. I have a suspicion that there is an intrinsic design flaw somewhere from the W13 in the current car. The team needs to find it ASAP or else they’re going to stay 4th fastest for 2025. It has to be linked to the car being doodoo in full fuel, but it’s all speculation in my part.

Would it have some names from this forum too? It would be a shame if it isn't.

George has tried to pull a couple fast ones before.. It's just that Lewis hasn't really squeezed him as the two are in different career cycles and aren't fighting for much. When Kimi arrives, he will be pushing for poles ans wins to prove himself... And if it ever so happens the car is the quickest... The two drivers will be fighting for their first championship! So it will get veeeery tasty!!

Yes it is instrinsic. Yes they know what it is. Mercedes cars in the hybrid era can only work at low ride heights... Very poor at low speed when they have to compromize rear roll for traction. In other words they will suck at hot, tracks slower speed tracks, because their aero platform doesn't work if it is not low and stiff.

Even if they aren't fighting for a championship in 2025, it will get very tasty. Especially if the thought "Max might decide to switch Mercedes" is in the air.
