Finishing 11th with the worst car according to the simulator must be intrinsically motivating. Alonso knows if he has a car remotely close he'll be able to make some noise.KimiRai wrote: ↑24 Nov 2024, 19:27He was smiling after the race. And not the kind of tired smile that he's had this year. How can you say that at the beginning of 2025 "we will be competitive". At the moment it is the last team and next year's car should already be ready, so... Where does this confidence come from? In any case, next year it will probably be McLaren and Ferrari that will compete, given how things are going, so the most sensible thing would be a car that can at least get podiums.which is aiming for 2026, but I think that will hardly be the casediffuser wrote: ↑24 Nov 2024, 05:10Cowell isn't really tied into day to day technical. He gonna be more manager than technical. Bell isn't new. He's been there for a couple of years, he's been heading up the 2026 car. Which will be nice if they leave him there leading into 2026. Bell is in his mid 60s. Cardile is still on target to arrive June/July time frame, which means in time for 2026.Nikosar wrote: ↑23 Nov 2024, 23:30Yeah you right at the end it is a team work. And Andy Cowell importance is as BIG as Newey. Even Newey outcome depends on Cowell's work. Cowell position as CEO is to somehow balance power between him and Newey (shareholder). Cowell even as CEO will influence the PU side of the car.Ferro wrote: ↑23 Nov 2024, 23:09
We agree that Newey will be the real leader of the project and he will certainly give instructions to the technical team during his time in the garden to guide the evolution of the AMR25. But we must not underestimate that newcomers like Cowell and Bell are actively involved in the team and both made their former teams world champions. It should also be added that before March 16 they will have their own new tools for the construction and development of the vehicle. I know that at this moment it is difficult to believe in a significant advance for 2025, but my prediction is that they will.
Extremely smart move from Lawrence Sr to avoid power/influence/reporting battle inside the team.
Like I said, the start of 2025 we'll be competitive. Then we'll see after that what Bob can do. We'll probably be able to see if Newey is gonna be walking around with a sketch book in March 2025 if he's trying to help the 2025 car.
He smiles because this season is ending and finally I would add. However the technical director has all the responsibilities of the car, but I personally see a mechanical part more than aerodynamic that doesn't work. But I could be clearly wrongSedaxel wrote: ↑24 Nov 2024, 15:12Alo was moderately happy after the race. Stated that the car worked much better and that one point was legit.

I think he enjoyed the race. He even said he was willing to race immediately again, another half an hour to catch that point. He was eager for more, and said the car felt so much better that he could even notice in the formation lap.Sherrinford wrote: ↑24 Nov 2024, 21:47He smiles because this season is ending and finally I would add.
