He just looks worst because his teammate is the best. I doubt Albon or Hulkenberg would be any better then him in that Red Bull.

It's a mix, his confidence has fallen off completely, they need someone else although we can't expect the replacement to match Max.renault rs26 wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 20:03He just seems worst because his teammate is the best. I doubt Albon or Hulkenberg would be any better then him in that Red Bull.
short answer yes... long answer prob not to Ham's liking anymore. they are diverging the development path to suit george so whatever updates and setups they bring will favour him more.
George P2 Lewis P7 and four tenths adrift, he was flying on his first lap and messed up the final sector asking too much from the car again, he's done his all season and even James Allison said you cant hustle these cars like times before yet here we are.
I'm not buying it, Russell is just now clearly much faster over one lap, it happens, either Lewis has dropped off substantially or Russell is now performing on another level.
its interesting because in SQ1 and 2 he was faster than Russell in sector 1, bleeding like 2-3 tenths in sector 2 alone to him and then on par again in Sector 3, I guess he tried something different in SQ3 and then lost all the time in the final sector
The first lap was a massive snap at the rear in the final sector cost around 2-3 tenths watching the onboard. Second lap was just bad.Luscion wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 20:26its interesting because in SQ1 and 2 he was faster than Russell in sector 1, bleeding like 2-3 tenths in sector 2 alone to him and then on par again in Sector 3, I guess he tried something different in SQ3 and then lost all the time in the final sector
He just doesn't have it anymore, Russell is in another league qualifying wise. On their second run when I saw Russell improving I knew when Hamilton's name popped up all we would see is yellow sectors, sure as day follows night that was the case.Luscion wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 20:26its interesting because in SQ1 and 2 he was faster than Russell in sector 1, bleeding like 2-3 tenths in sector 2 alone to him and then on par again in Sector 3, I guess he tried something different in SQ3 and then lost all the time in the final sector
TBH, this is so simple and clear - inside guy has corner. End of.organic wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 19:35divebombs back on the menu. Seems drivers don't mind the verstappen style of overtake, so long as you can "keep it on track"

Inside guy has the corner only if sufficiently alongside. The racing rules as I have always understood was if the inside guy is the one trying to overtake, the guy can only claim the car when the front tire of the inside guy is well ahead of the back tire of the guy ahead, since in this case the inside guy is alongside and can push the outside car off the track. I always thought this was the rule?venkyhere wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 20:51TBH, this is so simple and clear - inside guy has corner. End of.organic wrote: ↑29 Nov 2024, 19:35divebombs back on the menu. If you wan to overtake on the outside, brake and rotate earlier, and do the switchback, it's your skill vs defending driver's skill on test. Easy, clear, as it should have always been. Enough of rules too complex for their own good, resulting in many needless penalties, pages and pages of debates in this forum and open war in social media..
I think it's a bit of both - GR driving as well as he has ever done, and LH in the waning phase of 'outright limits' driving.
