A yellow light comes on their steering wheel too.
Lando has just had a nightmare and fair play to him he’s taking it on the chin.

Doesn't seem like he had anything light up on his dash but maybe I am missing something.

Top left of his wheel there was a light…. Could have been his DRS light though.
Anyway I’m pretty sure all drivers they have dashboard lights for yellow and red flags. Could be wrong though.

Max and others were saying that the safety car lights didn't work (I think on the dash), so maybe there were issues with the system notifying driver dashes. It would explain it. Norris would have done a minor lift like Verstappen if he saw it.

The Yellow was flashing on and off constantly. Was it even on when Leclerc and Sainz drove by? They were ~13 and ~17 seconds behind Verstappen, respectively.

It should have been on, since the root issue had not been resolved at all.

Well yes, but it was only yellow for one lap until the yellow/red slippery track marker came on, despite the problem being unresolved.

Reckon Max didn’t lift under a yellow flag earlier in the season and only got a 5 second penalty. Just wondering if any ones which race this happened in so I can check for myself.

There was a flying double yellow - just as it was for Norris. Their engineers were on the radio, Leclerc does lift slightly but for Sainz it doesn't seem he lifts.

I had a quick look, for some the double yellow stopped waving (they were told it is going on off). Sainz would be enough.

He was told about the flag so he may have done a small lift, hard to.say without throttle trace.

Zak has already said they won't do anything. This is why we will lose the WCC. Team full of cowards. Only decision they appealed iirc was Oscar's track limits in Austria. They let Lando take the blame for everything this season.

Perhaps the biggest problem is that they took so much time to give him the penalty It happend on lap 30. If he gets it immediately he can fight back and with late SC he would have had a good chance to get proper points.

All that could go wrong did. Even Sainz got good points after his puncture, Leclerc gains a spot on Piastri through SC (another mistake by strategy team).

Not sure how final the results are but luckily there are other teams that will report this if McLaren will not.

I am sure Aston wants wants more points (if Haas and Sauber are not due to their engines).
