I went and checked this as soon as I heard him say it after SQ, because I had a suspicion he's full of it and saw he was making sh1t up. Completely expected from two-faced russell to spin it as him being too good and just a car meltdown prevented him from taking pole. In the process downgrading people who watch f1 as being too stupid to understand how a de-rate works.

Saudi 2021: When a car ahead slows down, what do you do? Do you overtake him? No, you slam on his rear because you don't want to give DRS advance to opponent. Verstappen had to give the place back, but Hamilton did not want to receive it before DRS.
