We are very lucky it did not come down to that. Otherwise we would have lost the title because of Max and then Piastri hitting Colapinto and getting 10 second penalty.

Yeah, it was more of a story of how one team is pushing the limits more than a performance deal braker, and RBR tried to play the victim game considering that Ferrari fans will get sucked into, since they pushed the story that Mclaren won in Baku simply due to the Mini DRS effect, which was not true.

This gap in poles is hilariously painful. Ignoring that "lucky" weather-affected session in Sochi, they literally just had a car capable of pole for the first time in 12 years this season.

Definitely it was blown up outside of Baku. But to be fair, at Baku I suspect it was not minor. Assuming we ran enough df on a wing with standard flex then I think it may have been worth 5kph advantage, it could be the difference in Piastris overtake and subsequent defence.
