I'm not necessarily the world's biggest Yuki fan but there's no question he's been hard done by. Shame on RBR. I hope he leaves for another team (maybe Aston once Stroll calls time?) and beats Lawson every race
If Lawson drives similar to Perez in the last few races, Yuki does not need to move to another team to beat him every race ;)

It is a shame you can't make a poll here. :D

Liam is out and Yuki is in after:

o 6 races
o 7 races
o 8 races
o 9 races
o certainly during the year
o it's not gonna happen

If Horner is still at RBR, I see Hadjar or even Lindblad getting that seat before Yuki unfort

I laugh at the people here who talk about Yuki behavior or that he is linked to Honda and that is why he was not promoted.
Of course, since they can't beat him on the track, or in qualifying, they must invent something, right? Hahaha

His performance was nothing to write home about and thats why he was left out. His toxic behavior is only the icing on the cake.

Let´s sum it up:

Yuki:
Very good driver, improved over the years (2021, 87 starts). Only critical flaw to straighten out is emotional control. The ´red mist´ in front of his eyes in extreme situation is tough.

Liam:
Good driver, gets very close to Yuki after 11 starts. Down 2 earth. Growth curve seems to be larger (at the moment) then Yuki´s. Very coachable/instructable.
(Also coached (whispered to) by Max since a very long time...for those who didn´t know)

So yes in comparison they are a very close match.
Max is fine with both drivers to partner him. But for Max the best driver is one to challenge him (to grow).

Choice is now so close that other factor will come into play to make the decision. And that´s why it is upsetting so many people.

In a positive way. It´s fills up the newsmedia in the gap between racing... :D

Where did you got that BS from? Your own opinion?

Marko explains: 'Deciding factor in choosing Lawson for Red Bull promotion'

Helmut Marko: "The engineers presented similar figures that we used as a basis for the decision. Basically, it was a luxury problem;
both deserved the promotion. But Lawson may have more room for improvement in the future.
Especially his mental strength was the deciding factor in the end.
He is currently in Japan and I spoke to him on the phone. He took the news relatively calmly.
I told him to keep pushing at the Racing Bulls and then we'll see. He responded positively."

Christian Horner: "The engineers have enjoyed working with him [Yuki] through the running that he's done this year.
He's got a good work ethic as well. So it is great to have Yuki still involved with the Racing Bull scene next year.
And of course, he's on standby should he ever be required."

One thing is a PR statement and the other is the reality - where he was denied of his seat.

And radio logs are more than enough of an evidence of his bad behaviour, treating his race engineer like trash when things dont go his way...

I understand. If you want a slow pilot who speaks nicely to your ear. What about another fast pilot who is more emotional. That's fine

Tsunoda aint particular fast. Gasly was on another planet for him. His "wins" are against two rookies (from which one basically matched him even though he came mid season) and against a broken man that was Ricciardo...

Sorry but i never considered Yuki as a top 10 driver in the field...at every season he drove.

Not a surprise since most have the same opinion.
What i am surprised is RB allowed him to speak the truth. Good on them. =D>

Probably will replace Stroll or Alonso.
