Everyone knows how fast Lewis used to be. Next month he will be 40's. His raw pace is gone, as we can see from qualifying statistics. And the experiments—we all know how difficult times Lewis has had with the car since 2022. He has been volunteering for testing, and why not. Toto said that both did experiments, but with Lewis, it went more wrong than with George, and oh boy, we have heard about when Lewis did experiments. Lewis has struggled more with the car than George, who has been more comfortable when the car is difficult, so it is natural that he is the one to solve the team's and his own problems if his driving style is more vulnerable with the car.
His raw pace didnt look gone as he was passing GR on the out side on the last lap of the last race to take 4th after starting 10 places behind him.....

Just saying........

No, Raw pace would be an exp driver, some one who can go out on track with very little time needed to get upto pace, eg go out giving it full beans right away.

Some one lacking raw pace would be some with with very little exp, needs to get into his grove over a load of laps before even trying to go full beans so they dont crash out on the first push lap in free practise 1 ( See Kimi in GR car )..

Gentlemen, if you want to have discussions about semantics based on fan-feelings, please don’t.
Remember the T in F1T as the raison d’etre of this forum.
If you want to have fan battles about my-driver-is-better-than-yours, please take it elsewhere. It is tedious, endless, pointless yin-yang here.
Rivals, not enemies. (Now paraphrased from A. Newey).

The idea that it's mathematically possible for Bottas to get another win in a Merc is making me tingly.

This is where I feel sometimes we in this forum prefer 'hyperbole' and 'romanticism' in place of 'cold data'. That outside pass was done with softer compound tyres (that can accelerate and brake quicker than a harder tyre) , and not just that, softer compound tyres with much less 'laps' already on them.

You, not " we ", I am sure you dont speak for every member on the forum....... to think you know what ever member prefers in this forum just says some thing about you...

He still chased him down and passed him on the last lap of the last race, after starting 10 places behind.

So three years together and all about the last farewell race where George was testing for next season. And why not, when George already had Hamilton's head from that season.

I see.

So it's "conspiracy theories" when Lewis suddenly isn't fast at all the year he announces he's leaving or when its literally made public hes doing all the experiments for years, but not the one time we really hear about George testing different parts and how that could affect his pace?

Read on X that the team is fully focused on the rear axle of the car and possibly changing the front suspension layout. Can’t wait to see what the 2025 challenger will look like. Will it be silver? black? Or both! =D>
