..... you really need a driver who will pull to side if it comes down to it. Yuki is not that type of guy.

Liam seems like he understands the Mission and is just happy for the chance of helping Max win more WDC.
.
it looks like you don't know Yuki and Liam at all! Liam is happy to helping Max???
Liam hates to loose and isn't a teamplayer at all.
Yuki on the otherhand did often help the team and Ricciardo when Ricciardo was doing bad/was slow.
Yuki doesn't want to beat Max at all, but Liam does! He said so, not in the first half year but in the second.
Dream on Liam!
Yuki doesn't want to beat Max? Of course he does. Red Bull just doesn't want two impulsive drivers on the team. They already have Max, who has god-like status on the team, so they tolerate his impulsiveness because Max is the only one on the grid who can bring championships home with the tricky car.
.
Yuki himself said in an interview that Max is the best driver on the grid and that he still wants and needs to learn a lot from him
before he can compete with him, but that he would never be able to reach his level and would only be able to win races at RBR
if Max is no longer there.

That's a pretty horrible thing to hear an F1 driver say (ill never be able to beat xyz).

Luckily though, it's definitely all politics, posturing and veiled statements.

Japanese culture does promote, honour, recognise high achievement and dedication in it's society, as expressed here I believe.

It may come across in language conversion in different nuance, Yuki often being self deprecating from first year in F1.

I see it more as compliment to the person with clear and obvious skill, also it would be ideal to follow or achieve that highly in performance. Honouring, if you like.

Used more as personal motivation in my view, but could be misinterpreted in "Western" typical psychology.

You could abbreviate to "not wanting to look too cocky" in reality.

Yuki meant to say that during the time Max is still with RBR he will not reach his level. Max isn't racing till the end of his contract.
And btw. who will reach Max his level at the moment? And he is still growing. Yuki is honest an humble as every Japanese man.

Red Bull ahead of schedule with new F1 wind tunnel:
The Red Bull company has given the green light to build the new wind tunnel at the Red Bull Campus in Milton Keynes, with the work currently in progress and three months ahead of schedule.
"With the building work and afterwards all the new machines you never know when it's coming, but we are ahead of the schedule at the moment," Red Bull technical director Pierre Wache told Motorsport.com.

"We are three months ahead of the plans.

"The guys are doing a very good job, but you never know if you get any delays somewhere else. It is a big project."

The new wind tunnel should be operational in 2026, meaning it can be beneficial to Red Bull for its 2027 challenger.

"Or maybe already help us later in the year [2026]," added Wache.

"It is the oldest wind tunnel in the sport. I even discussed it with Jos [Verstappen] the other day, that they already used this tunnel when he was there at Arrows," Wache said.

"It is an old tool that we updated. There is plenty of newer stuff inside, but we have some limitations. We know those limitations and we try to work around them, but that is clearly more difficult when you are looking for a small delta.

"It is why we invest in the new tunnel. We think we can have a benefit from the new one that we don't have with the current model."

I’m sure what he says is true…. but the biggest benefit to McLaren (and to some degree AM) wasn’t the capability of the new tunnel, rather it’s physical location, especially given the budget cap

RB have always done an exceptional job with the old tunnel, I’m pretty sure the tech inside was state of the art

RBR's current tunnel is neither in an other country nor owned by another team.
The location on the Red Bull Technology campus is for sure a benefit, but not as much an improvement as in McL or Aston's case.

As the tunnel in Bedford is not within a building, they have a lot of problems with temperature. And it takes them quite a while until it's up to speed and therefore lose ATR-time.
I think that's the biggest ones they are looking forward to solve.
