Douglas was good aircraft even the McDonald Douglas military aircraft( F-15) but the wrong people got control of the company who got control of Boeing after the merge.

Boeing went from being run by Engineers to University Fraternity brothers. Animal House like management style.

W8 is unique and something secret about its design that works with cylinder cut off that means extra laps being done per fuel load at Le Mans. Just say during cylinder cut off it's still a very smooth running engine that the drivers will like.

I would like to see Honda racing IMSA GTP( Acura) and WEC Hypercar( Honda) in 2026.

Using a new chassis ( Oreca) that is modular so it can be easy a Acura GTP( RWD) and a Honda Hypercar ( AWD).
Both racing at Daytona 24 and Le Mans 24.

I would go with different engines.
Something like...
Acura 3.0L V6tt( enlarging today's 2.4L V6)
Honda 4.0L W8etet

Next Generation platforms.
Type-R ideas

City Type-R ( 5- Door hatchback)
FWD
6 MT
1.5L DOHC V3( eCharger) 8000 rpm redline
270bhp( HRC built engine)
Two 80kw Axial flux electric motors( generators and drive motor) very lightweight.
One or two 1.3 KWH exchange batteries ๐Ÿ”‹

Civic- Type- R and Prelude Type-R
AWD( rear electric motor axle... estimate 250 HP)
2.0 L DOHC V3 (Turbo) 7500 rpm redline
320 bhp( HRC built engine)
One 80 kw Axial Flux Electric Motor ( generator)
6MT and 7 DCT
Two 1.3 kwh exchange batteries ๐Ÿ”‹

Honda's idea of a Ferrari ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜

DOHC V3 with Electric Compressor.

I would love to see them take that V3 ICE design and make a City Type-R.( 5 door hatchback)
1.5 L with a 60-90 kw Axial Flux Electric Motor between the ICE and 6sp MT.
FWD 300 bhp total power
It would feel like a NA engine with just a better low end. Small floor mounted battery pack( less than 3kwh) and with a short range EV only range for the Zero carbon zones in urban areas( around schools and outdoor cafe areas).

A Type- R below the Civic Type- R

I would love to see the next Civic Type-R go AWD with a 2.0 L V4 and rear eAxle. Also with option of MT or DCT.
400-450 how total power
The common man Ferrari ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

Also with that same engine in a S2000. RWD GT and Open Top.
Didnโ€™t they already do that with the CRZ?
Always liked the idea of that car, never driven one though.

Yes.
The CRZ has the right idea( MT Sport Hybrid).
But it just needed a more powerful ICE!
Just 20-30 bhp more would of made a big difference.
It was fun to drive in the narrow country roads that are in the UK and Japan.
