Doesnt say where he is going, but confirmed like you mentioned. A pity. He has been such a familiar face in the mclaren garage for so many years

Looks like he is going back to Japan to pursue a new role in motorsport rather than joining a rival F1 team.

Yes for their test or support team, not racing team. Sounds like a nice relaxed role with family time also posible
