An important year for Haas. No more excuses/low bar with 2 good drivers, the Toyota technical partnership, more funding and a good TP. they will want to beat Cadillac comprehensively in 2026 and the race to P6 will be a big part of that

I wonder if they will use the supposedly overhauled ‘25 Ferrari suspension or do a ‘24 Williams and stick with the previous year’s geometry. For a team like Haas I can easily see them doing that, especially since they know now how to stop melting Pirellis and might not want to risk having to completely restart their setup philosophy from scratch. Plus I would imagine new suspension geometry would mean they need to modify the tubs or make new ones and I suspect this could be a heavy carry-over year like 2021 was from 2020.

They could use this season as a test bed for the Toyota partnership in terms of design and manufacturing; let the “existing” Haas/Maranello/Dallara team work solely on ‘26 and let Toyota work on developing the ‘25 car so they can get their eye in.

You guys are getting way, way ahead of yourselves. The Toyota partnership is brand new and we don't even know what it will look like going forward. So far all the only project they've announced is a new simulator. The suggestion that Toyota could be involved in developing the 2025 car is incredibly premature. It may well be the case that Toyota takes over a lot of responsibilities previously deferred to Ferrari and Dallara, and personally I think that's very likely, but that's not an instant impact. That's a years-long transition. And unless this is a slow rolling Toyota takeover, which could be the case, I don't see how it meaningfully changes Haas' outlook. They are still an F1 team that does very little in-house, and that puts everyone else at an advantage.

Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon will use the 2023 VF-23 car to take part in Haas' first-ever TPC test at the Jerez circuit in Spain this week.
