How would Duchessa know anything about McLaren or Mercedes?
He has connections everywhere now. His site covers all of F1 these days instead of just Ferrari.

Anyways, good to see Gio still in the fold. He's definitely a company man in the mold of Gene and Fisi.
Agreed on Giovanazzi - I always thought he was quick in F1, especially over one lap; he seemed to be getting race pace on track just as he was leaving too and that practice crash in the Haas at Austin wasted his final shot. He’s strong in WEC though and suspect Ferrari still value him highly.

Hamilton hates the SF-23 as much as the Tifosi do

(I promise this is a joke...)

Glad to hear he's unharmed and the car will be ready for Leclerc in the afternoon.

So far they have just said the mechanics are working to fix the car to make it ready for Leclerc this afternoon. We don't know if they will complete this in time, and it's likely that the afternoon session will be shortened due to delays from repairs

Read it also happened in 2007 and 2013 with each new team, and he won the WDC the next year...

In all seriousness hopefully it doesn't affect him too much mentally. He was feeling low at the end of 2024 like never in his career and the idea was to ‘rejuvenate’ with Ferrari and the change of team so I hope the crash doesnt tax him too much.

I don't think Hamilton would've come this far if a single crash could deter him :D

I didn't realize Leclerc's time might be delayed. Unfortunate but he has tons of time in the SF-23 already, so could be worse.

It's not unexpected. Pretty much everything about the car including how it behaves at the limit will be very different.

It could also have been a mechanical failure, but unlikely I imagine.

SF-23 was a barely controllable truck. Not unexpected.

Let's not overreact. It wasn't that bad.

Yes it was, especially before the updates they brought to Japan.

Oh I'm consistent wrt my opinion of that car, I've always despised its handling.

Like this isn't how a proper F1 car is supposed to handle bumps:

Neither is this:

Not sure how reliable funoanalisitecnica is, but according to them ferrari were making multiple changes to the car to test its limits and that the crash was a minor incident according to reports. Although not serious, the crash still caused some damage but Charles should still be able to complete his tests
