The fact that even Perez has such impressive numbers should tell anyone how dominant that car really was

Starting on pole, in a dominant car = very few opportunities to be overtaken

Also shows well who can qualify better than the car deserved adn who falls back through the pack

I was trying to remember all five times Max was overtaken in 2023. Leclerc passing him in Vegas (just before Max pitted and served a 5 second penalty) instantly came to mind. Went through several other races and didn't see anything (excluding lap 1 where he lost positions in Australia and Silverstone), until I got to Singapore. I forgot Max started on hards and stayed out with the early SC. He was running 2nd at the restart as a result of staying out on worn hard tires and was passed by four drivers (George, Lando, Lewis, and Charles) who were all on fresh tires.

I think those are the five times he was passed on track in 2023 (I didn't look at sprints).

It seems more to be the carsr relative race pace. Haas was terrible in race and it shows. So does Red Bull being even better in race that quali. With the exception of Bottas/Zhou there is no clear difference between teammates
