I thought I read somewhere Alonso wasn't interested in promoting sugar energy drinks?
They do a sugar free version

Alonso is not going anywhere. He and Newey have waited forever to work together.

I also doubt Alonso is going to any other team. AM is his last project, after that its retirement.

Grok 2 said this:
"Fernando Alonso's explicit mention of not being interested in promoting sugar energy drinks occurred in 2018. According to various reports and his own statements, Alonso rejected offers from Red Bull, with one of the reasons being his lack of interest in promoting sugar energy drinks. This was highlighted during discussions around the Belgian Grand Prix in August 2018, where Alonso explained his decisions to turn down Red Bull offers over the years."

Maybe searching around August 26, 2018 would yield the quote.

Things you do if you were to get a billion pound offer, perhaps...

It seems Max will be staying in the F1 for a very long time otherwise he wouldn't have bought a new bigger plane for longer distances.
This is his new 2 yo jet in the same colors but another registration number.

Autoracer (previously formu1a Uno) who are reputable also weighs in expecting Verstappen to look to change teams, though says they expect it for the end of 2026 according to an "important insider"

However, even though Verstappen has reportedly given assurances to Red Bull that he will remain until the end of the 2026 season, it is understood that his future is far from certain, so much so that an important insider believes that between next spring and next summer, speculation will return strongly about a possible change of team for the three-time world champion.

The combination of Perez and Ricciardo brings great experience potential to GM according to me. Their extensive track record demonstrates that both Perez and Ricciardo could secure fresh sponsorship deals. Observing their partnership would generate exciting results to witness.

No reason to jump before 2026. New regs, wait to see who is competitive, and then pick.

That's the sensible choice, I think most of the drivers have contracts that run out at the end of
2026. I think one of the factors that might see Max leave would be the Redbull PU being absolutely
dreadful. Shades of Alonso's "GP2 engine" comment coming from Max. But with extra swearing and fines
from the FIA.
