Red Bull’s RB21 has passed crash tests and will be shaken down in Bahrain on 25th of February, using up first filming day of the year.

Worth noting that red bull are likely to do a private shakedown of the rb21 at Silverstone prior to this date, using the 15km shakedown allowance.
Red Bull would be at least the third team to have a shakedown on the 25th in Bahrain, is that even possible?
Yes, all 10 teams could do that if they choose

Newey:
Red Bull from what I could see, the car was already - 2024 car and through the last stages of 2023 as well I would say, started to become more difficult to drive. Max could handle that if you like, didn't suit him, but he could handle it, Checo couldn't. You also started through 2023 to see more of a difference in performance between the teammates, Max and Checo.

That carried in to the first part of 2024 but the car was still quick enough to be able to cope with it. It's something I was starting to become concerned about, but not many of the people in the organization seemed to be very concerned about. From what I could see from the outside, but I don't know, the guys at Red Bull - and this is no criticism - but I think they just perhaps through lack of experience kept going in that same direction and the problem became more and more acute to the point that even Max found it difficult to drive.

Hopefully theyve learned with the RB21 and it is an easier car to drive.

Christian Horner and Liam Lawson were yesterday at a big Ford Event in Charlotte.
The video starts when Horner and Liam came on stage at 32:00 and 38:00 minutes..

Seems FIA is finally going to try to clamp down on flexi front wings

Unfortunately it'd come into effect after Monaco so quite a bit of the season will play out first. You'd imagine that red bull will have to develop their own flexi front wing to compete for the first part of the season. But perhaps their experience balancing the car without this tool will help them for the rest of the year

So they've known about it since Miami (spring), been monitoring it since Spa (summer) and said they will not do anything about it in the autumn but now in the winter they want to ban it as of coming spring. That's a lot of time flexi wing teams are getting compared to Red Bull in their flexi front wing days..

Newey said that the Red Bull was difficult to drive throughout the 2024 season, yet Max still brought the title home. They have a driver who can cope with it. Amazing. They are so dependent on Max.

Autoracer say that Red Bull are "furious" because they spent a lot of money into flex wings this winter, just to find that flexing will be clamped down....maybe triggered by McLaren. I mean, you could have seen this coming from a mile...

kind of confirmed also by DrObbs https://x.com/dr_obbs/status/1885303148920922554

Must have been a lot of money that they had to hire so many people. They better have hired good because next two years are going to be very important for many many years to come.

I did not understand why is not happening, but now I'm a bit comforted that it did, just under the radar.
Red Bull lost lot of staff recently, so it makes sense to hire new people.
