HP still operates like 90s corp with no sense of style. why did Ferrari pick them is beyond me, why not ask for sponsorship from apple or something they both match, both are luxury product with snobby attitude... after seeing the race suits I don't have much faith in the car livery. it might be similar to last year with just darker red.

The burgundy red is bueno, I hope the car is covered in it. With the black contrast, dare I say, stunning. But my god, the HP dot is like a door dent on a Chip Foose hot rod.

Ferrari are rightfully gonna go with the brand that can offer them something other than just money, so the deal likely involves HP giving big discounts and support for hardware solutions.

Apple do not have that same level of enterprise support, nor do most companies have their workforce and IT within the strict Apple ecosystem, which basically rules them out entirely as a tech partner.

Bottom line - Ferrari are not prioritizing livery aesthetics when picking an important title sponsor. And I'd have been pretty upset if they were. Of course we want a nice looking car, but more important is that they are building every bit of infrastructure advantage they can to make the team operate better.

Agree with what a few have said here. They just have the most awful logo, and insisting on putting it on a white background only amplifies it

I dont know why people make such a big deal out of it. It’s a sponsorship deal for which HP is paying top dollar. Of course they would want it to be as visible as possible.

*quick off topic rant starts*

The HP logo is awful and so are the printers they produce. Had to spend a few hours deciphering one when setting it up for my grandmother - wouldn't recommend.

I think everyone gets it - HP are making it big and ugly on purpose to get people talking. I think people just hate it and are expressing their view

I don't know why HP just can't have their logo in plain white.
I think if Vigna cared he would have negotiated it into the deal that the logo could be white, but he clearly doesn't give a damn about the livery aesthetics haha. For context HP sponsor Real Madrid and their HP logo is monochrome, so it is clearly a compromise they are willing to make, we just didn't push for it which is annoying

Vasseurs Ferrari has really done a good job taking the media and throttling them. No more silly articles of massive time gains and massive expectation. Just letting the team work in peace and what we get is what we get.

I especially expected massive figures being thrown around with the hype of Lewis coming :)

Everyone expects the event in London to suck but what if it doesn’t ? I’m all for keeping expectations at an absolute minimum of course
1. No real cars; just an event to show off sponsor logos on the livery. (yawn)
2. Historically, F1 "big events" end up being disappointments. Name one that wasn't.

I won't be watching. I think ratings will be far higher, likely the biggest for an f1 event in 2025 until testing, happening the next day cuz its FER's real reveal + shakedown.
yup... just look at the recent "big events" the 2023 miami pre race and the 2023 vegas driver introductions when they all got lifted out of a box were pure cringe events tailored for the american market...

I’m an American in the American market, a die hard F1 fan, and I can tell you the cringe Liberty Media has brought to F1 is absolutely not appreciated, and my friends who are American feel the same way. I can’t believe I’m writing this but I’d actually rather have Bernie.

Is that how sponsorship works? You ask for it? HP is likely top 3 most lucrative sponsorships in F1, not sure Ferrari have anything to complain about.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Guys don't forget the huge IT support that HP gives to Ferrari with it's vast resources in hardware and knowledge.
To me this is the most crucial part as IT.

With the launch date closing, I will try to spoof Ferrari’s website tomorrow. Maybe they forget and publish links they’re not supposed to again :D
