Could be. According to Wikipedia the lap record is 55,9 from 2004, with Leclerc doing a 56,8 in 2024. But I doubt the timing is very accurate. Also track conditions differ, push level. Many variables.
In 2024, the temperature was about 15 degrees, a colossal difference from 2 today.

Which works to the benefit of the SF-25 in terms of lap time.

They are saying Leclerc managed a 56.0, but no official timings yet. If that's true, it's almost 9 tenths faster than the launch spec SF24. If we assume Ferrari gained ~0.5s during on-season development last year, then that 4 tenths simulator number is spot on.

(Small caveats apply with temps being >10 degrees cooler this year at Fiorano and me having no clue how much did Ferrari gain exactly from Bahrain -> Abu Dhabi)

Ah, but as John Mayer said, sometimes the only way to make genius appear is to be mad..... I paraphrase, but you get my drift.

RM is either mad, or a genius.... We'll find out soon enough.

Last year the shakedown of the SF24 was also a filming day? Coz had it been the case so there`s a big tyre difference now for using demo Pirelli tyres at this time ...

0.4s faster on a lap that is not even a minute would be 0.7s in theory on tracks like Spa. We have to see. 2 degrees is from my knowledge also way too cold for tires.
If these factors would be true, the SF-25 would be a phenomenal step forward from Abu Dhabi 2024 to season start 25.

Are Pirelli demo tyres better or worse than filming day tyres?

I took a little break from all things F1 this winter, think the new car would have looked great besides the random white stripe... lol. Can't wait to see the car in Bahrain next week, should be a fun time.
